Destroyer Lacrosse 2016 Vision Summer Camp

Destroyer Lacrosse was established with the primary focus on developing player fundamental skills and progressing these skills to an NCAA and JR. A/NLL level. The hybrid style of our programming will help facilitate the growth and development of both box and field disciplines. Our student athletes will experience mentorship and guidance from professional lacrosse players and proven coaches. Along with its high level instruction and motivational setting, the Destroyer Lacrosse 2016 Vision Summer Camp will establish a solid foundation for up and coming lacrosse players.

Areas of focus will include:

1. Fundamental stick skills (passing, catching, ball protection, loose balls)

2. Offensive and defensive spatial awareness (checking, dodging and shooting)

3. Basic offensive and defensive systems (two man and three man game)

4. Transitional skills (two on one, three on twos, defensive positioning, slides)

5. Goalie Areas of Focus (spatial awareness (stance), positioning in the net (angles) and basic sending skills)

6. Experience lacrosse in a fun and motivational setting

2016 Vision Camp will run on July 16 th & 17 th (times vary depending on age group) at the KINEX Arena in Red Deer.

Razorbacks Field Lacrosse

Good Day Razorback Families,

Our 2016 season is quicly approaching and promises to be another exciting

year for the Razorbacks. Our season consists of practices running twice

per week and optional games, which we refer to as field days.

This allows players to get the full benefit of a season of practices, while

having the flexibility of attending games that work with their summer

schedule. A new registration will be required for each of the field days,

should you choose to attend.

Each field day is hosted by a different club, such as Red Deer,

Lacoka, Edmonton and Calgary. The host club determines the format. This

information will be shared with you once details are confirmed and

available.

Registration is now open for 2016!!

Field Days have been planned as follows:

Lacombe - July 23 & 24, 2016

Red Deer - August 6 & 7, 2016

Calgary - August 20 & 21, 2016

Provincials - Leduc - August 26 - 28, 2016

**Please note you must register for each field day individually in order

to attend**

We will be having tryouts for the A Teams, for provincials only,  in each division beginning in early August.

Should you require additional information please refer back to the website.

We also have some open positions on the executive that we need to fill in order to ensure the kids have a tremenous experience. Should you want to volunteer and help out this great program please email the club president at normmaxwell@gmail.com

2016 Summer Games Volunteer Opportunities

Hello Leduc Crush Membership,

We are excited to let you all know that Leduc will be the host for the 2016 Alberta Summer Games from July 14th to 17th. This is an excellent opportunity for Leduc to showcase what a wonderful city it is and all it has to offer. These Games will be one of the largest events ever hosted by our fair City and will require a small army of volunteers to support our young athletes. The Summer Games are staged like a “mini-Olympics” and, in many instances, are an important stepping stone for young athletes looking to continue their growth into elite competitors. Lacrosse has historically been one of the chosen sporting events and will be again in the upcoming 2016 Alberta Summer games.
One of the ways we can showcase our community and our association is to have a large presence and, as such, I am asking that you consider volunteering to help out at the lacrosse venue over part of the 4 days. I was involved merely as a parent of an athlete at the 2014 Games in Airdrie and it was a tremendous experience, so much so that I did not hesitate to volunteer when Leduc was awarded the 2016 Games.
This notice will be the first of several but the Games Committee would like to give you as much notice as possible to allow you to schedule your participation. Please watch for future notices that will direct you sign up procedures.

Thank you for your consideration,
