Registration Fee

$100

All players will be guaranteed three evaluation floor times. Players selected for the final evaluation game in the afternoon of April 19, 2020, will be required to pay an additional $20 fee that will be collected at the registration table prior to the game.

Team Alberta Field Try-Outs

U15 Men's Field, U19 Women's Field

Team Alberta Field Lacrosse is a program designed to provide its’ players with the opportunity to develop their skills and to assemble a team to participate in the CLA National Championships. In addition, Team Alberta’s goal to provide its players with exposure to college coaches in their pursuit of post-secondary playing opportunities in Canada and the United States.

Team Alberta U19 Women’s Field will participate in the Canadian National Field Lacrosse Championships tentatively scheduled for Alberta in August 2020. Team Alberta U15 Men’s Field will compete in the Canadian National Field Lacrosse Championships in Laval, Quebec during the Labor Day weekend in 2020.

The new direction of the Team Alberta Field Program is to push the tryout dates early in 2020 to allow teams to be selected sooner and provide teams more time to prepare for the National Championships. More competitive gameplay and additional practice time prior to the National Championships has been identified as a key component of team and player success.

The Alberta U15 Men’s Field team is tentatively scheduled to travel to the West Coast of the United States in mid-July to participate in a preliminary tournament as preparation for the National Championships. Players selected to Team Alberta U15 Men’s Field must commit to both events.

The registration fee for the TRYOUT CAMP is $175.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: January 19, 2020

All players chosen for TEAM ALBERTA will be responsible for all expenses(which include travel, accommodations, equipment, meals etc) to attend additional competitions, as well as, the fee for TEAM ALBERTA to compete at the National Championships in 2020.

If players are away at college, university or prep school, that individual must still complete the RAMP Registration package.  Players evaluations will be brought forward to the Senior Manager of Development and the Head Coach for selection into the Program.

TEAM ALBERTA REQUIREMENTS

Players who have not applied by the deadline date will NOT be permitted to try-out.

  • Players must register as a runner or goalie, not both.
  • Players must be registered and playing for a lacrosse club or team in the applicable sector that is under the jurisdiction of the Alberta Lacrosse Association (ALA) for the 2019 playing season.
  • Players may be required to attend more than one try-out camp.
  • Players, Club & Team Alberta coaches are strongly encouraged to work together to allow obligations to both teams to be met. The recommended priority is club games followed by Team Alberta activities.
  • If selected, players and parents are required to sign and adhere to the ALA Code of Conduct.
  • Players are to follow the criteria and rules as set up by the Canadian Lacrosse Association
  • Refunds for tryout fee will only be considered for medical reasons. A doctor's note is required. Refunds are subject to approval and a $10 administration fee.
